Angela Merkel, 1st Chancellor of the German Federal Republic
German chancellor Angela Merkel defended yesterday that the Monetary Union could expel “like last resource” to the countries that “break repeatedly and in the long term” the conditions of the Agreement of Stability. In his budgetary speech before the Bundestag (Lower House of the Parliament), Merkel pushed back also to come "helter-skelter" in help of Greece and supported again the creation of an European Monetary Fund.
